I hold a PhD in Mathematics by training, and I’ve become a Data Scientist by passion

Hi there! I'm Ibon Martínez-Arranz — a PhD in Mathematics, passionate about statistics, data science, and the stories data can tell.

My journey began at the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV), where I earned my BSc in Mathematics. I then completed two MSc degrees: one in Applied Statistical Techniques and another in Mathematical Modeling, building a strong foundation for analytical thinking and complex problem-solving.

In 2010, I joined OWL Metabolomics (currently Rubió Metabolomics), where I currently lead the Data Science Department. My work focuses on machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis applied to metabolomics and biomedical research.
